Rental Application

Application Process

1. Please fill out the rental application and sign the last page. We can’t run your credit unless we have your signature. One application is required per adult (over 18). Also, be sure to include your e-mail address as much of this process is done electronically.

2. Drop off the application at our office along with the $25.00 fee. The fee must be paid in cash. We do a Credit and National Criminal Background Check on every adult tenant. The fee is non-refundable, you will receive a copy of your credit report. If the information you gave us on the application is incorrect and we have to re-run the credit and background check, you will be charged the $25.00 fee again. 3. After receiving your application, we will process the application and review it with the owner to make a decision.

4. Once the owner has accepted you as a renter, Bordertown Realty will contact you to set up a move-in date. The lease will be sent to you via e-mail to sign electronically. Once the lease is completed, you will have 48 hours to get us the security deposit. If there is a pet deposit required it will have to be paid at this time. The deposit will need to be either cash or cashier check made out to the owner. We continue to show the rental until the lease has been signed and the security deposit has been paid.

5. On your move-in date you will pay that month’s rent with either cash or a personal check. You will then receive the keys for the rental property.
